Auto Repair in Poway

I own a heavily modified 4WD 1989 VW Vanagon Syncro Westfalia Camper, which our family dearly loves and uses for on- and off-road camping all over the Southwest. It's rare and very different from more modern vehicles, so I usually attend to mechanical things myself, or take it to a VW specialist on University Avenue in San Diego. I had done some work and the van's suspension at home recently, and the van needed to be realigned after the work. I didn't want to drive it far in the misaligned condition, and I'd used Precision for alignment previously with good results, so I gave this job to them. I also provided them with the proper specifications for the work, as the right numbers are hard to find in the standard literature. Precision has an alignment guru, and he came through for me - the van drives and handles great, and the alignment numbers are right on target, so I'm satisfied.

I took my car here based on the number of reviews that were fantastic, and they did not disappoint. The recommended repairs were explained very fully and why they were necessary, and I felt like they had my best interests in mind instead of their own. What a unique concept in auto repair these days! It is evident they want to establish long term relationships with their customers rather than just make a quick buck upselling. You know what? My Jeep oddly stalled on me when I was out on a job appt. I called Poway’s Precision Automotive (because they’re the only ones I trust) and they kindly stayed open until I could get my Jeep towed to their shop. They had it for a few days, and got it working again! Thank you sooo much for all your help!

The following morning the mechanic/manager, Eric, provided a detailed inspection report unlike anything I've seen before. Eric was communicative and set clear expectations on repair costs and estimated completion time. Quality and timely service was provided with no up-sell pressure. I highly recommend.

Poway's Precision Automotive provides great service with very knowledgeable and professional staff. They are usually on time and provide good recommendations but are not pushy. They do great quality work for a reasonable price.
