Called in for a Smog Check appointment. Always check the coupon magazines for a smog check coupon as there is always one in there for a smog check every month for this shop. When I got in, Brian went over the paperwork super quick & then did the smog check. I was out in 10 minutes, when I was expecting it to be done in 30. Needless to say, I am making an appointment here every time for a smog check from now on. Only flaw is it was a little hard to find the place as the address leads you to another smog shop, maybe it's Google's fault. Regardless, this is the place you want to go for a Smog Check with their $30 coupon if you make an appointment!!

After being referred here by a coworker awhile back, I tried it out and was very satisfied. This is my go-to spot now for oil changes, smog checks, routine/preventive maintenance, repairs, everything. Simply put, this place is exactly what a mechanic's shop should be - owned by local guys who have a passion for cars and aren't tied-down by any corporate BS or red tape, and give you great pricing and don't try to upsell you. Brian is a straight-shooter kind of guy, but not in a rude way. He's also great at ELI5 (explain like I'm 5) - breaking things down into layman's terms.

This place is probably the best auto maintenance place I've ever been to. Top notch service at a better-than-competition price. I'll drive across town to use them if I ever move out of Poway!

So glad I found this place. Being a woman it is sometimes hard to know if you are being taken advantage of when it comes to cars. This place is the best. They are very honest and helpful. I thought that I would need new shocks or struts and they basically said if you are not going to hang on to it for a long time then don't bother replacing them as it is a cost you won't get your money back on. It's great to have a place you know you can trust to take your car in. They seem reasonable and ready to help you out!

I have had work done there many times and they are always courteous and polite. The work was always completed before they promised. The estimates were always accurate and always tried to get the best prices on replacement parts. They also noticed my military window sticker and gave me a military discount. Two thumbs up!

I am downgrading PAA 1 star after my smog check experience. I waited about a month for them to get the smog machine fixed because I trusted PAA and I also wanted to support local business. My 95 Acura failed the smog and PAA will charge $100 (with $50 discount) for the diagnosis. And to get a free retest, I have to get my car repaired at PAA. I swallowed the $40 I paid for the test and went to the shop I always went to because they charge $65 for diagnosis and the fee will be waived if I get repairs done there. Simple math, I was not paying $100 to save $40. The bottom line is if you have an older car that may fail the smog I don't recommend coming here.
