Auto Repair in Poway

So tomorrow I'm taking my 07 Tundra back to Accurate Automotive.....and that is a good thing! General maintenance for the most part. I first started working with AA in the fall of 2018 as I was preparing an older Dodge Dakota for one of my kids to drive. On very short notice midday on a Saturday, they were able to help me out by installing a new AC condenser and recharging the AC. They did the job quickly, and for what I thought was a reasonable price. Since then I've taken the Dakota and now my Tundra in a few additional times. This shop has been very professional to work with, and are always very willing to discuss in detail the state of the vehicle and the suggested fixes....and I ask a lot of questions :0) I grew up in a shop, I'm long-time DIY'er when is come to our vehicles, and I'm a mechanical engineer. All of these things mean I'm generally very particular about where I take our vehicles for maintenance when I can't do the job myself.....so when I say that AA checks all of my boxes, I say that from an informed position, and would very much recommend that if you are looking for a new auto shop in the Poway area, give Brandon or August and call and have a chat with them regarding your vehicle issue. You won't be sorry you did. Great job guys...and no doubt I'll be seeing you soon!

I had a great experience here. Brought my 2009 Honda Fit in to repair the air conditioning, which had stopped working several months before. I had put it off because I thought it was going to cost a fortune. They were able to repair it at a much lower price than I expected and quicker than they had promised. They have also done repairs on my lady’s 1986 El Camino. They were able to get it to pass smog and run smoothly again. I will definitely come back.

Did a great job with my alignment. Due to my lowered car, they notified me that they couldn't fully align my car in the rear. Waiting for parts to come in so I can get fully aligned. Overall great experience and very helpful.

Brought my 2012 Impala in because of a slew of bad diagnostic codes that suddenly appeared. The car had very low miles on it so this was not a good omen. Eric and his amazing crew quickly discovered a frayed and shorting wire harness (bad install at the factory) that was causing the computer to flip out. They repaired the wires and most of the faults cleared. They also discovered that the two catalytic converters were shot. Eric went the extra mile by researching to find a.little known warranty from GM that covered the cost of the converters. These guys saved me nearly 4000 dollars by bringing this to my attention. I can’t say enough good things about Eric, August and the rest Poway Precision Automotive crew. They are fair, knowledgeable, extremely competent and above all honest. My check engine light went on and my usual go to shop is Poway Precision Automotive. I have been taking my car there for years, but as they were closed on Mondays and Poway's Accurate Automotive has the same owner, I decided to call them instead to see if they could take my car immediately. I spoke with Brandon who was very friendly and he encouraged me to bring it right in. There was a lot to be done so the bill ended up being higher than I had wished, but they were extremely thorough and I was sent a link that brought up my car's profile which included detailed summaries and photos of all the issues that needed attention according to a green, yellow, red system of importance. They needed to hold on to it for two days, but graciously provided me with a loner car, which ended up being a Lexus. When all of the immediate issues were fixed, Brandon gave me a timeline of suggestion for the yellow and green issues that would require future attention. I was very impressed with their attention to detail, my car is running well and I will be using there services again soon. Highly recommend!
